Salim Succar

Salim Succar - Haitian Attorney and Government Legal Advisor

Based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Salim Succar serves as senior attorney at the law firm Lissade-Succar and represents clients in areas such as criminal, commercial, and maritime law. Experienced in M&A and business development, he has contributed to “Doing Business,” an annual publication of the World Bank. Salim Succar also provided senior advisory services on a penal code reform project launched by President Rene Preval, which led to the law’s successful adoption.

Mr. Succar’s international experience includes serving as designated Haitian expert to the Organization of American States (OAS). He presented on criminal matters at the OAS annual meeting of Central Authorities on Mutual Legal Assistance, and was an invited speaker at Montreal University’s 4th International Conference on Law via the Internet.

Mr. Succar’s engagements extend to many years spent as the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force’s senior contact person for Haiti. An Inter-American Bar Association lifetime member, he is also active with the International Bar Association and the Port-au-Prince Bar Association.
